Malala was around 12 years old, when her parents started to talk to her about girls rights. That’s when Malala got the idea to stand up for girls rights. First she started protesting all over Pakistan for girls rights to go to school. There was a fight between those who wanted girls rights, and those who did not want girls to have rights to go to school. There were schools which were bombed in order to try to intimidate girls not to go to school. Malala’s protests helped her to be able to go to school and other girls were able to join her. She developed a reputation because of her activism for girls rights; and the Taliban began to notice her acts.
